After trying to run an update (which failed and for some reason deleted files) I decided just to reinstall, because I didn't know how else to fix it. So I ran git pull from https://github.com/sd-webui/stable-diffusion-webui , copied over the model file, and changed ldm to ldo and changed to turbo mode and sharing. Everything seemed to be fine, and txt2img works fine, in fact better, because I can now get even bigger results.
As an update, in case anyone else has the issue, after getting some help (thanks u/vedroboev) I installed from here not sure what the difference is, but I got it working.
