The rewrite for Linux and specifically with X11(X-Window protocol) uses a different programming language called crystal that I'm unfamiliar with. https://github.com/phil294/AHK_X11 Also there doesn't seem to be any input grammar files here either.
The original hotkey version is open-sourced c++ targets only 32-bit/64-bit windows os: https://github.com/Lexikos/AutoHotkey_L
you can use it to build some complex GUI apps (one example which is a macro recorder for AHK written in AHK)
I personally use ydotool, but understand people want stuff a bit easier. Still a good solution for me on Wayland.
For handling Wayland you attack the problem at the libinput layer. Example: https://github.com/houmain/keymapper
