  • esphome

ESPHome is a system to control your ESP8266/ESP32 by simple yet powerful configuration files and control them remotely through Home Automation systems.

  • If you're technically inclined, I'd look for ESP8266/ESP32 based Wifi bulbs, and install your own firmware like ESPHome or Tasmota. Those micocontrollers are even compatible with the Arduino IDE and MicroPython if you want to go that route. By installing your own firmware, you will have much finer control over scheduled events and gradual color changes.

  • adaptive-lighting

Adaptive Lighting custom component for Home Assistant

  • There's also a more advanced add-on called Adaptive Lighting that is much more configurable: https://github.com/basnijholt/adaptive-lighting

  • InfluxDB

Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale. Get real-time insights from all types of time series data with InfluxDB. Ingest, query, and analyze billions of data points in real-time with unbounded cardinality.
