Open sourcing everything just for the sake of it - probably no. Look at some vendors who did just that - source code is out in the open but there isn't a community built around that, there are no contributions, issues or improvement suggestions. Also there's very little value to such efforts if they are about transparency because it doesn't provide assurance that this same code is used to build an actual app or a service. So instead we are thinking about open sourcing some individual components that would be beneficial for the community, as well as trying to understand how to get more people involved. One such example is our speed test tool. A lot of people out there do comparisons of VPN services that are far from reality due to the absence of proper tooling. So we provided a tool to be used by anyone with the idea that if some party, ether our competition, or the one who compares, thinks that this method is wrong or the tool shows incorrect results - we can discuss it out in the open or make contributions/fixes to the tool straight on the Github repository. For me this brings orders of magnitude more transparency to the industry than releasing source code of some of our apps.
