  • piserver

Raspberry Pi Server wizard to serve Raspbian to network booting Pis

  • For that volume I would look at Ansible but it can be a steep learning curve. Not sure that NOC-PS will run on the Pi (despite the author creating PiServer - may be another option but not sure).

  • sdm

Raspberry Pi SD Card Image Manager

  • You may find that SDM has a shorter time to deploy but can only be used for Pi boards whereas Ansible runs on lots of things (handy for SysOps work commercially).

  • InfluxDB

Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale. Get real-time insights from all types of time series data with InfluxDB. Ingest, query, and analyze billions of data points in real-time with unbounded cardinality.

  • pi-firstrun

First-run scripts for Raspberry Pi OS images.

  • Could you create a start up script to do the rename etc for you - possibly using the MAC address as a key? See this GitHub code or this GitHub code as a starting point.

  • raspberian-firstboot

A lightly modified Raspbian-light image supporting first boot customization.

  • Could you create a start up script to do the rename etc for you - possibly using the MAC address as a key? See this GitHub code or this GitHub code as a starting point.

  • Ansible

Ansible is a radically simple IT automation platform that makes your applications and systems easier to deploy and maintain. Automate everything from code deployment to network configuration to cloud management, in a language that approaches plain English, using SSH, with no agents to install on remote systems. https://docs.ansible.com.
