  • filtrite

Custom AdBlock filterlist generator for Bromite and Cromite

  • Github repo: https://github.com/xarantolus/filtrite

  • Fenix

Discontinued ⚠️ Fenix (Firefox for Android) moved to a new repository. It is now developed and maintained as part of: https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/firefox-android

  • Just started using Fennec. Love it. Very responsive compared to Edge and Chrome.

  • filtrite

Discontinued Custom AdBlock filterlist generator for Bromite (by Harden87)

  • The one i found quite good: https://github.com/Harden87/filtrite

  • bromite

Bromite is a Chromium fork with ad blocking and privacy enhancements; take back your browser!

  • Firefox by far the best in every regard, except for performance. Unfortunately, my phone is over 6 years old at this point, so I now use Bromite for quick browsing and only use Firefox when speed and battery aren't an issue.

  • ffupdater

FFUpdater: Updater for privacy friendly browser

  • The problem with Kiwi is that I don't understand their business model. Firefox lives out of donations and the default search engine deals, Chrome is Google's investment on keeping you locked down in their ecosystem, Edge is the same for Microsoft, and Safari is seen by apple as a central component of iOS and Mac OS. Kiwi on the other hand is doing some shady stuff without telling users, and they also stopped updating their open source repository.

  • src.next

Source-code for Kiwi Next, a Kiwi Browser auto-rebased with latest Chromium

  • But, they've learnt from it and moved on and their source is also updated regularly. https://github.com/kiwibrowser/src.next

NOTE: The number of mentions on this list indicates mentions on common posts plus user suggested alternatives. Hence, a higher number means a more popular project.
