So before I go any further I'm currently using the latest version of Manjaro (Arch Linux derived) on my deskop and wanted to know if there was any other linux user here who was able to get mpv.net to work natively on linux. I looked into mpv_build but I don't believe I have enough know how to get that working in the way I want it to. If anyone has any sort of useful information that they can lead me in the direction in that would be greatly appreciated

https://wiki.archlinux.org/ You can download it here, it's the official link (just click on download in the top right corner somewhere). As you said, I'm no "distro-evangelist"; I just like very much the arch wiki, and that alone made me switch to arch from windows. There are lot's of arch based distros but obviously they add things to the default experience, so there are more inconsistencies with the arch wiki so things could break more easily. Plus, I don't see the advantages they offer if not a gui installer. And yes, I mained garuda linux for about 3 months and endeavour os for 2 weeks, very good distros but.. looking back.. I could just have installed vanilla arch..
