Software for a Linux home server

This page summarizes the projects mentioned and recommended in the original post on /r/DataHoarder

Our great sponsors
  • InfluxDB - Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale
  • WorkOS - The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS
  • SaaSHub - Software Alternatives and Reviews
  • Portainer

Making Docker and Kubernetes management easy.

  • I found the Cockpit Project. It's a small web admin tool that would at least give me the file server (NFS and Samba), but that's it. NextCloud looks like an office productivity tool. Portainer would let me play with Docker, so maybe I'll find out why people rave about Docker.

  • tubearchivist

Your self hosted YouTube media server

  • TubeArchivist is another docker thing that could be ran, if you want to download your youtube subscriptions on the regular.

  • InfluxDB

Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale. Get real-time insights from all types of time series data with InfluxDB. Ingest, query, and analyze billions of data points in real-time with unbounded cardinality.

  • PhotoPrism

AI-Powered Photos App for the Decentralized Web 🌈💎✨

  • Photoprism runs from a docker container. You can read through the installation and try setting that up on your laptop. I have my photoprism running on a spare PC.
