  • bat

    A cat(1) clone with wings.

  • For instance, bat, an alternative to cat, is available in apt for Jammy at version 0.19.0, despite the github having a .deb for 0.21.0 and the Kinetic (22.10) repo also having 0.21.0. The .deb from github installed on my 22.04 system with zero issue.

  • yt-dlp

Discontinued MOVE TO NIGHTLY BUILDS FROM YT-DLP. DO NOT USE (by ytdl-patched)

  • It's even worse for yt-dlp. Jammy is stuck at 2022.04.08, and until a couple of days ago, the jammy-backport was stuck at 2022.05.18. This is despite the fact that a working .deb for the latest version (maintained by Unit 193 same as the others) exists on the kinetic (21.10) repo.

  • WorkOS

The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS. The APIs are flexible and easy-to-use, supporting authentication, user identity, and complex enterprise features like SSO and SCIM provisioning.
