I recommend installing the benispheres fork of the hemispheres firmware. It adds a more hi fi version of the drum applet (though, imo, it still does not sound that great), introduces a range setting on the shift register (like the original Turing machine), adds a mutable instruments grids like drum sequencer, some more stuff and improves some of the applets. You can find the manual on the project's github (Click wiki for the manual, each applet has a different page, some of them weren't changed so for those you'll need to check the original hemispheres wiki. Pages inside the wiki are at the bottom on mobile, or on the right on desktop)
