  • pyTRS

A Python library for parsing real-world Public Land Survey System (PLSS) land descriptions (or "legal descriptions") for use in data analysis, GIS mapping, spreadsheets, etc.

  • A bit of a niche area, but I needed something to break down big spreadsheets of Public Land Survey System (PLSS) land descriptions (i.e. why everything looks so square when you're flying over most of the United States) into tabular data, so I built a parser. Then it spun up into a bigger project than I'd originally intended because I was having fun with it.

  • pyTRSplat

A python module for generating configurable plat images of PLSS descriptions (or 'legal descriptions') of land. Uses the pyTRS library for parsing raw land descriptions into their component parts and the Pillow (PIL) library for drawing the plats.

  • When I'd done that, I figured it'd be neat to make automated plats, so I created a plat generator.

  • InfluxDB

Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale. Get real-time insights from all types of time series data with InfluxDB. Ingest, query, and analyze billions of data points in real-time with unbounded cardinality.
