I think it's a little unfair to compare Arch and Void. While Arch has the rather confusing solutions of mixing up diffrent package managers, sources, he AUR and whatnot, Void has xbps-src It works a little diffrent, and if you're familiar with gentoo it will make some more sense. It's a way to compile a package and integrate it into your system in a very easy way. If you want the newest freshest firefox, the best way is to familiarize yourself with xnew from the xtools package, learn how templates in xbps-src work, and commit a template to the repository so everyone has the most up to date firefox. If you don't want to do that, the next best thing is just asking someone in the irc or making an issue in the repo to update firefox.
TLDR because i know you came here to solve an issue. 1. Read the docs because it's all there. 2. 5.15.45_1 is the newest defaut kernel, but you can install the linux5.18 package if you want the freshest one (AT YOUR OWN RISK). 3. Arch isn't Void, we do stuff diffrently. No, there is no unstable repo. 4. Consider contributing if you want packages to be more up to date.
c. try xdeb if there is a debian package that more recent than the void version. (this has a good chance of bricking your system so it's not recommended)
