audible-activator
Retrieves your activation data (activation_bytes) from Audible servers. Using https://github.com/inAudible-NG/tables project instead is recommended.
I recommend using my software Libation (free, open source, windows) for backing up audible books. If that's not the right choice for you though please use something. There are many alternatives and most are also free and open source.
I've been using OpenAudible (listed in the alternatives link) to do the conversions on my MacBook. It gets the job done. I particularly like the ability to split books, which I've used on short story collections but not novels. I'll start recommending your software to my Windows using friends, though. That's pretty stellar.
I would encourage users not to use OpenAudible as they tend to engage in shady practices. They've stolen code from the original inAudible project and then released it as a closed-source commercial project. Users have complained about losing access to OpenAudible after upgrading: OpenAudible v3.3 upgrade warning/alert
I use a free program made by reddit user /u/audiamus called Book Lib Connect . Real simple to use. Took 3 days to download and convert my Audible library of 400+ books. Windows only though. A great way to legally download and backup my library.
