  • Eventually with the help of a logic analyzer I successfully decoded the protocol and bought some RJ45 breakouts so I could solder everything to a protoboard. I wrote an ESPHome component for decoding the height and added it to Home Assistant. I added it to my dashboard, and here's how it looks!
