A tool for verifying that .chd/.rvz disc images match Redump Datfiles

  • Yeah, I had a think about that, but the trouble is that because I'm using external tools (primarily chdman) to do the extraction, I think it's necessary to use temporary files. I see that there are a couple of libraries for reading .chd files now, though, and presumably I could use one of those to avoid the need for temporary files altogether. I've added a GitHub issue for that, and thanks for the idea!

  • binmerge

Tool to merge multiple bin/cue tracks into one. Great for redump.

  • Yeah, that would be cool, but then the .bin file usually needs to be split into separate tracks (using binmerge) so I'd need to modify that the work with the streams too in some way. And the .cue file needs to be handled too, so it all gets a bit awkward, and I'm thinking it might be better to make the program support .chd files directly using one of the .chd-reading libraries 🤔
