  • barrier

    Open-source KVM software

  • Synergy was a really popular virtual KVM for sharing your keyboard and mouse between multiple desktops and laptops for a while. With fewer folks having desktops, and with Apple having their own Mac/iOS Universal Control solution now, itโ€™s a bit less relevant. Still, it can be useful for folks who are still juggling a Windows work laptop. Synergy was pretty much the only game in town in mixed Windows, Mac, and Linux environments. A while back however, the open source Synergy project went closed sourced and paid. The last open source version was forked as Barrier, which I feel like surprisingly few people have heard about. https://github.com/debauchee/barrier

  • alt-tab-macos

  • AltTab

  • AutoRaise

AutoRaise (and focus) a window when hovering over it with the mouse

  • Should have put a warning on it, D. The default configuration brings the window in which the cursor is on top which is also personally super annoying. I am using an experimental branch which only focuses on the app with the cursor and does not raise to the top.
