It can be done. Have you already followed the 3ds hacking guide to install Luma3ds? If so, I believe you can simply just use a homebrew emulator for Mother 1 and 2 (Virtuanes and Snes9x3ds). You can also use NSUI to essentially install them as games to the home screen. Ask r/3dshacks if you need help or have any questions.
