I don't think the GUI allows you to mine to a traditional pool, only solo or p2pool iirc. However, feather wallet supports acting as a GUI for xmrig which can work with any pool.
xmrig is the "industry" standard, do not bother with xmr-stak, especially if you're going to use MoneroOcean (use the MO/xmrig fork). If you are going to p2pool then use the mainstream xmrig/xmrig
