  • XMR-STAK-RX: I just set it up but I want to make sure I'm actually mining monero. The cmd shows ryo-currency.com and says its a currency to implement what they couldn't in monero. It says Mining coin: randomx. Wallet and mining pool are connected. Can anyone confirm if I'm actually mining Monero?
XMRig is fully free, you can download it at http://xmrig.com, default fees are 1%. Even if you want you set fees to 0, you can, if you compile XMRig yourself.

Get XMRig from git: 'git clone https://github.com/xmrig/xmrig.git'
  • Monero GUI wallet synced faster than I expected, but I can’t mine.
I use xmrig to mine to an address that's on my Ledger (not connected). That may be significantly easier to get running, and you don't need to sync a node locally. If you're interested in giving this a try, this script could get you started after downloading xmrig: https://github.com/xmrig/xmrig/blob/master/scripts/solo_mine_example.cmd There's also a wizard to generate a config file: https://xmrig.com/wizard
  • Mining XHV with an undervolted 3900X
Poor mans undervolt: go in you bios and activate ECO-mode 65W or ECO-mode 90W Not as customizable, but already pretty good for our demands. If you never mined before: 1.Download XMRig from Github Be aware that all miners ever get flagged by antiviruses, so you may have to add an exeption. 2. Open config.json and change algo or coin to haven, enter your choosen mining pool and your wallet adress. "algo": "cn-heavy/xhv", "coin": "xhv", "url": "haven.herominers.com:10451", "user":"hvxyBX2bCvcDYPAndSoOnAndSoOn", 3. Now start xmrig.exe as admin, reboot your PC and start as admin again to enable huge pages. Feel free to comment any suggestions so I can add to this little guide to help others out in the future.

  • Enthusiast Question for XMRIG mining on Android
I actually didn't need ubuntu installed at all, I actually thought about it briefly but I didn't want the overhead. Instead, I just focused on apt install -y git wget proot build-essential cmake libmicrohttpd and then git clone https://github.com/xmrig/xmrig to the compile. As an FYI, the whole xmrig now running requires about 400mb on the phone's internal storage.
