FastHub RE is a good GitHub client (not to be confused with a Git client). Original project is dead, new maintainer is trying to keep it going. Not 100% necessary, but it's nice to have.
MGit is one of, if not the only, useful Android Git client. There's some apps that include a Git client, but they're text editors, language runtimes, etc, and this is just a Git client.
And now there's also online programming environments like GitPod, though the services are mostly low-usage for free users or paid-only. GitHub Codespaces is only for teams or enterprise (business), but single users who get into the beta can use it free. Lol.
Android 9 (?) or earlier can easily take advantage of UserLAnd, Termux, and others. These allow running commandline Linux as an app (GUI too, but would need a powerful device to be useable). UL is (at least more similar to) a real Linux install; I think Termux is lighter on storage, but it's running a lot of custom code that can make it incompatible with some tools and scripts. On Android up to 10 they do work, but it's a lot more work (copying/syncing folders from device storage to the apps internal storage in /Android/data). I believe on Android 11+ they're basically worthless; I thought some devs believed they found a way to get it working but Termux would be back in the Play Store if so.
