Or if you want to go full Alpha-geek you could enable Linux (Crostini) on your chromebook and run (more like build) the AppImage. It is INSANELY difficult, but it is not impossible. It requires your chromebook to be the "right kind" and may involve building the AppImage for Arm64. A docker image is provided in the linked issue. This method is really targeting the RaspberryPi. If you can't run it on Crostini, and the x86 SBCs are too expensive, RPi SBC could be a build-your-own last resort.
