Make sure that your repository names is as follows: username.github.io here the username is your GitHub username which you chose when you created your GitHub account. (if you don't know your github username just goto https://github.com/ and then on the top right click on your profile picture and in the drop down menu select "My Profile", your profile will be opened and on the left side below your profile picture you will see your name, and below it there will be your username.
