This doesn't directly answer your question, but it might help as a solution to your problem. You should check out Sonixd, a desktop music player that's compatible with both Subsonic and Jellyfin libraries. It's actively being developed, and the functionality has come a long way in recent months. I currently use it with a Jellyfin library, although I did try it out with Navidrome and found that it worked just as well there for Subsonic, at least for the short time that I was testing it out. (FinAmp's offline downloads on iOS were what convinced me to keep my library with Jellyfin.)

For playback on Android, I don't really love any of the solutions out there. I don't really like Dsub that much. I made my own app to sync music to my phone, to then use PowerAMP (offline sync is the primarily way I listen to music). https://github.com/AndersMoberg/MySubsonicSyncApp
