  • neovim

Vim-fork focused on extensibility and usability

Even if this happens soon there would still be limited graphics support when running inside a neovim term.

  • wezterm

A GPU-accelerated cross-platform terminal emulator and multiplexer written by @wez and implemented in Rust

If you want to replace windows terminal with something a bit faster, and arguably more configurable, I encourage you to try wezterm. It has all the features you would expect, is fast, cross-platform and has super nice documentation, which is also something that Alacritty is lacking imho.

NOTE: The number of mentions on this list indicates mentions on common posts plus user suggested alternatives. Hence, a higher number means a more popular project.
