Chisel: A Modern Hardware Design Language (by chipsalliance)

  • If you have background in Java/scala, I would recommend you use Chisel: https://www.chisel-lang.org Chisel is a hardware description language that allows you to use programming abstractions in hardware and allows you to reuse different hardware components(ex you can build a system faster by using their own set of Queues than have to spend time verifying your own). Programming in chisel has the same rules as programming in verilog which means you can transfer you skills directly back. Also, chisel has a thriving community of engineers which means you can easily recieve help from them.
