I am about to deploy my first MERN on Digital Ocean. Since I am studying on my own remotely I will be using the techniques that I have happened to come across that first seemed legit enough ( saw the same basic instructions in 2 different places ) and easy enough to follow. And after installing the proper node in the droplet that ends up being cloning your project from GitHub and then using PM2 to maintain it running, NGINX for reverse proxy and let's Encrypt for the SSL certification. Yes, I also saw stuff on dockers and know I should learn to use them but felt like I didn't want to address them until my next time.
