  • HomeAssistant

Discontinued My config files for my current implementation of Home Assistant OS (by BakedBananas)

  • There are redundancies as well as inefficiencies in this code. I had a few bugs and they were rectified by this code, but I still need to go through and eliminate what's unnecessary. Use this as an example of how to implement the Scenes Snapshot Entities. Check out my My Github for my full Home Assistant build.

  • When we moved into this condo, our kitchen had under cabinet lights that used those long fluorescent bulbs, but after buying a new bulb we determined the fixtures were dead. Unfortunately, like many under cabinet lights, these were hard wired from the Romex in the wall straight into the light. My goal was to replace these lights with smart color changing LED strips that would be cheap, yet look good. After hours of research, i was unable to find an all in one solution, so I decided to build my own. This project ended up costing about $85 total, and it was totally worth it. I know there are much cheaper solutions using an ESP32 or other chips but this project is designed to be simple and pretty much plug and play, for the average Alexa/Google Home enthusiast. My implementation utilizes Home Assistant in order to integrate them with the main kitchen light switch, but this project can also be utilized with Alexa or Google Home. Note: You will need Home Assistant to integrate it with other smart switches like I did in the video below
