If you want to join the big names in tech, the companies formerly know as FAANG, you should also learn algorithms and data structures. Many people mention LeetCode, HackerRank, and AlgoExpert when learning about these topics. I have not really used these platforms, so I cannot comment on them. There are many free YouTube videos on algorithms and data structures on YouTube. Here is one from Bro Code and one of the many freeCodeCamp videos on the topics .
If you want to be a developer, you should also work on projects to showcase your abilities to potential employers. These can be your own projects, or simply sites for local businesses or family members' businesses. You can have your personal projects on GitHub, Heroku, and Netlify for free, although they also have paid plans.
