The best route for any beginner is getumbrel.com, for sure. It's a great software package and its free. They have the info on how to build it there, but in short you'll need; a raspberry pi 4 4gb, a 1tb+ usb ssd, and a 16gb sd card. The ssd is the most expensive bit. Don't cheap out if you're going to have funds on it.
