When it comes to ebooks, it's easier especially if you read on the website hosted version of the ebooks. But also can be accomplished in something like calibre-web + kobo if you want self-hosted. Additionally something like JellyFin is supposed to work well for ebooks and it has a watched function but not sure about the page read.
