I'm really enjoying reading through the docs and the tutorial. We've created Lowdefy, a config web-stack which makes it really simple to build quite advanced web apps. We're writing everything in YAML, but it has it's limitations, specifically when doing config type checking and IDE extensions that go beyond just YAML.
I've been looking for a way to have typed objects in the config to do config suggestions and type checking.. PKL looks like it can do this for us. And with the JSON output we might even be able to get there with minimal effort.
Is there anyone here with some PKL experience that would be willing to answer some technical questions re the use of PKL for more advanced, nested config?

Project mention: Looking for collaboration platform (preferably open source, alternative to Confluence) | /r/selfhosted | 2023-05-06You could try Documize https://github.com/documize/community
So far my best option seem to be https://github.com/kanishka-linux/reminiscence(which I haven't seen in any list of these type of apps for some reason) but that received no updates in 5 years(the dev apparently has no free time to work on it in the foreseeable future) and it has a few active bugs so if I can find something more stable, it would be ideal.
Project mention: AI beats human sleuth at finding problematic images in research papers | news.ycombinator.com | 2023-10-04I guess they had a system that required humans to confirm the validity or so.
I had a similar problem when I realized someone put up CSAM (Children sexual abuse material) on my public demo of my CDN called PictShare [1].
I didn't want to look through all of these images so I built a Raspberry Pi with a Neural compute stick [2] that used an AI model trained by yahoo to filter out "nudity" images and I put them in an encrypted ZIP file along with the access logs and sent them to Interpol.
This lead to the arrest of a teacher here in Austria so I'm glad I could do my part.
This even lead to a BBC article about my system [3]

Project mention: Stalwart mail server (self-hosted all-in-one mail server) now as an admin webui | news.ycombinator.com | 2024-04-09https://blame.email/ is a website that does this. I wrote a Lua checker for rspamd that bypasses the spam filter if the address is "signed". I also have a bookmarklet that generates a signed address and inserts it into the current text field.
