Consensus Layer Call #81 just concluded, there was a lot of discussion about deploying the Kiln merge testnet. Kiln is a candidate for the final one-off testnet before the existing public testnets are forked. You can find the kiln milestones checklist here and the all-encompassssing Merge Checklist here.
Daily Kintsugi: lodestar merged kiln v1 spec into master, which is a breaking change for kintsugi. Had to revert to a few commits prior to get things back online. Still struggle to find and maintain peers with lodestar. All of my besu pairs were offline for a bit until I realized that the hackmd instructions say to use the kintsugi branch (which doesn't exist) while I was using the merge branch, which worked for a while. Switched to merge-kintsugi-v3 and that seems to have fixed most of my besu issues. However, teku-besu is now throwing 2022-02-11 00:00:12.279 ERROR - PLEASE FIX OR REPORT | Unexpected exception thrown for beaconchain-async-11 java.util.concurrent.CompletionException: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Invalid remote response: -32000: Parent block not found.
