Great that it worked. Maybe you still want to add a feature request at https://github.com/URJCMakerGroup/MakerWorkbench so they can improve their workbench as it seems to be quite good already for many use cases.
There are (several?) Addons that implement this feature. Besides the MakerWorkbench (that u/zchakl already mentioned in another comment) there is the 3dfindIT workbench (https://github.com/cadenasgmbh/3dfindit-freecad-integration) that provides access on https://www.3dfindit.com/.
