For window management, my top are yabai/skhd, Rectangle, Divvy and, emmetapp. There are several others (Amethyst, etc), but those are my favorites. I'm currently using Divvy, but probably used yabai for longer than any other.
IINA - simply the best mediaplayer
Firefox - an excellent browser that can use addons, like the essential adblocker uBlock Origin highly recommended, don't use anything else because there's nothing better. I've dumped Safari when extensions were deprecated and I've never looked back.
Handbrake - GUI for the FFmpeg library
Omni - This is technically not an app - it's a Chrome extension; basically gives you the equivalent of Spotlight within Chrome, allowing you to do a bunch of things without ever having to touch the trackpad
Numi - An awesome little calculator/unit conversion utility that sits in your menu bar. Has a nice "always on top" feature
Alt-Tab - Microsoft Windows style window switcher. WAY easier to navigate compared to Mission Control
Hammerspoon lua based systems automation. Can be used to do everything from keyboard shortcuts to full pomodoro automation
yabai + skhd BSP based tiling window management, and a nifty little keyboard shortcut manager that goes nicely alongside
Jukebox - show the current song playing on Spotify in the menubar.

For task/app launching, LaunchBar, QuickSilver, and Butler (and of course Alfred that you already mentioned). I use LaunchBar. Alfred is probably more powerful, but LaunchBar is the snappiest for the way I use it. It's not as much about saving seconds/milliseconds as it is being able to stay in a flow.
Ancient! So shortcat no longer available, but https://vimacapp.com is the one
MeetingBar: Shows your calendar events in the status bar. Create and join meetings in one click. Free and great way to display calendar events.
