  • snapcraft

Package, distribute, and update any app for Linux and IoT.

  • I've used some snaps in the past but wanted to try out some flatpaks. However, when I look at similar apps on Snapcraft and Flathub sometimes the latest app is at slightly different versions or have been released at slightly different times and it's got me curious. What is the reason for this? Do some developers simply prioritize one format over the other? Are the package maintainers not necessarily the developers but third parties in some cases?
