When I connect my frame.work laptop up via a small USB-C hub it connects this 43" monster, a web cam, power, an ethernet connection, a full size keyboard and mouse.
There is also a free tool from microsoft called Powertoys that has a functionality called FancyZones allow you to create custom window layouts of any kind that can also be triggered with key shortcuts. It also allows a lot of other very interesting functionality of different kinds.
