Run Home Assistant on the Raspberry PI to control the ESP8266 via MQTT. Control the LEDS via the web console on your phone. Connect Home Assistant to a Lutron Caseta Pro bridge using this module to enable control of your LEDs via a pico remote. Stick the remote carrier on the wall next to your light switch. It's removable from the carrier. The favourite button can be programmed to switch through effects.
