Their free games and the $10 coupon combined with good sales got me to use their store, which is probably what they wanted. It's really not a big deal. Game pass is a million times worse than EGS from a functionality perspective and people screech about it far less. I just have all my libraries hooked up to Playnite so it doesn't even matter where I buy them from - they all launch the same way.
