I run my Plex server on Rocky Linux. I had pre-rolls enabled, and they worked fine for months. So much so that I even wrote this Linux script for myself that does essentially the same thing as this program. Unfortunately the pre-rolls frequently cause movies to fail to play for many of my friends / family, especially when they need to transcode the movie that's at a different resolution from the preroll. I tried everything I could to fix it based on various Plex forum threads to no avail. I finally had to disable pre-rolls despite really liking them. I've assumed it's a broken Plex feature. I don't see how I could be the only one that has these issues with prerolls. Does anyone experience this?
