A permission that it does require, however, is access to all files, which is extremely invasive to the user's privacy. I do believe that there's a pull request in upstream Citra that aims to implement Storage Access Framework support so the application only accesses the files it truly needs. Based on the developer of Enhanced fork's comments, it does appear that this is in the works.
