Squid Cache This is a cache/proxy server you can put in different network locations to reduce bandwidth between building or to the internet. Really useful for speeding up CVMFS.
Podman This is what we use in the Linux labs to spin up a container with our Compute Node software. I haven't found a good way to replicate the Windows workflow for stopping/starting but for now use a shell script that polls that state of the system extremely frequently. This container really only consists of CVMFS and HTConder. If you want to double down you can also use this container on the Windows VMs to pull the latest version of this image at every boot.
