  • mempool

Explore the full Bitcoin ecosystem with mempool.space, or self-host your own instance with one-click installation on popular Raspberry Pi fullnode distros including Umbrel, Raspiblitz, Start9, and more!

  • If you go to a site like https://mempool.space/ you can see the most recent blocks and the number of transactions in them along with fee information for them. A recent block (https://mempool.space/block/00000000000000000000bfdd23cae4998115eea35531e78cead7c95b89befe05) had 3,387 transactions and the total fees paid were 0.22 BTC (~$13,000) but if you include the block reward the block was worth 6.47 BTC (~$372,000). If you divide the total reward by the number of transactions you get quite a large number.
