    • I use https://github.com/alphapapa/outshine for this.

  • outline-minor-faces

    Heading faces for outline-minor-mode

    • I used to use outshine, but the built in outline mode now supports this (at least in emacs 28). If you want to make the heading faces look better use outline-minor-faces. If you want to see a sample configuration you can look at mine here.
