Is Drive the best GDrive alternative available?

This page summarizes the projects mentioned and recommended in the original post on /r/linuxquestions

Our great sponsors
  • InfluxDB - Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale
  • WorkOS - The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS
  • SaaSHub - Software Alternatives and Reviews
  • drive

Google Drive client for the commandline

  • The last option I've found is Drive, a github project by Odeke-em with a name that certainly made it difficult to find. It seems like it may be the best option, but it looks difficult to set up and its wiki is broken.

  • RcloneBrowser

Simple cross platform GUI for rclone. Supports macOS, GNU/Linux, BSD family and Windows.

  • Edit: This might be interesting as well: https://github.com/kapitainsky/RcloneBrowser

  • InfluxDB

Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale. Get real-time insights from all types of time series data with InfluxDB. Ingest, query, and analyze billions of data points in real-time with unbounded cardinality.

  • rclone

"rsync for cloud storage" - Google Drive, S3, Dropbox, Backblaze B2, One Drive, Swift, Hubic, Wasabi, Google Cloud Storage, Yandex Files

  • I highly recommend Rclone. It allows you to mount your gdrives and much more (S3, blob storage, o G storage. You can do. A rclone config add the details for your drive then a rclone mount and you can browse your gdrive as if it were a folder.
