  • I bought the Asus X205TA the year it came out and have been pretty happy with it until recently. I'm not sure if the Windows 10 changes have caused it to be slower, or just the fact that it only has 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. But, I was really hopeful to install Linux, but since this was new, there wasn't much support. Seems like all of that has improved to the point where I can install Xubuntu on this machine with barely any extra configuration. I did have to work a bit to get the onboard Bluetooth working, but after a bit of digging, it seems to work flawlessly. Just wanted to post a positive experience with Xubuntu as I've used this before on an old Dell D630 with no issues at all. The poor X205 can still be sluggish at times, but overall it's a decent little machine for browsing, very light gaming and general use. The fact that it has no moving parts, not even a fan is one of the best features. The X205 also felt like a perfect fit for a lightweight Linux like Xubuntu and I was right.
