If you're willing to go the extra mile in setting up p2pool, you can benefit from the lowest minimum payout in the entire scene, just around 0.0004 xmr, a good tenth of what's on other decent pools. Note that it's advised to run your own xmr node, but it's not necessary, you can point your p2pool instance to p2pmd.xmrvsbeast.com instead. With my 4.8kH/s it takes about a day or two for the first transactions to come in. Today I found three PPLNS-window shares, so that's a couple of transactions for every block found by the pool around the ~6 hours after every share, but that's definitely on the lucky side.

Yes, if you scroll down on their github, there's a guide on how to build from source on different operating systems and just below that is a guide on how to set it up. There are also readily compiled binaries for download if you don't want to build from source and even an installer for windows (scroll to the bottom, don't confuse it with the download link to get xmrig) - also note that the installer isn't made by the p2pool dev himself, but big names from within the community deem it save; also note that I have no personal experience with the installer.
