I am looking for a wayland based tiling window manager which is close to dwm/xmonad, which one would you recommend?

  • dwl

Discontinued dwm for Wayland - ARCHIVE: development has moved to Codeberg

  • I've never used it but dwl is a thing that exists.

  • vivarium

A dynamic tiling Wayland compositor using wlroots

  • I wrote Vivarium specifically to behave like my old xmonad setup, although it isn't at all like xmonad internally. It's configurable in C.

  • InfluxDB

Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale. Get real-time insights from all types of time series data with InfluxDB. Ingest, query, and analyze billions of data points in real-time with unbounded cardinality.

  • river

[mirror] A dynamic tiling Wayland compositor (by riverwm)

  • River is written in zig but is designed for you to write layout code in any language, so you can code all that logic in your preferred language.

  • qtile

:cookie: A full-featured, hackable tiling window manager written and configured in Python (X11 + Wayland)

  • It's written in python but there is qtile (haven't used it, just noticed they created a wayland/wlroots port).
