I am currently using my MacBook Pro M1 with the Dell P2721Q Monitor and I am very satisfied. I use it with the included Usb-C cable and it works just fine. The Monitor also has 4 Usb-A ports (2x 2.0, 2x3.1 if I’m not wrong) and they work very fine. It payed 440€. You can also use the Monitor Control software to control the brightness of your monitor with your keyboard. I also read that this doesn’t work through HDMI. Usb-C is just better
