I've been working on GitJournal for quite a while now. It even has alpha Desktop (Linux + Mac only for now) support as well. I recommend grabbing the latest build from the CI for Desktop.

I really like crypt.ee because of it's security, markdown support, web access (multi device).
You can take a look on Obsidian and Logseq(mobile version coming soon)
Take a look at Journal
I created this a while back -> https://github.com/abhinavmarwaha/wrotto-app
It's not encrypted locally, and has no option to. https://github.com/laurent22/joplin/issues/289
So you would need to encrypt the local "places.sqlite" file manually because data is stored in plaintext. cryptomator of a simple 7-zip script might work, but now things are getting pretty complicated.
I don't have a sub and was able to install Rich Markdown Editor for Standard Notes.
