  • You might want to go over apps you use and perhaps "refresh" to get best wayland experience. See for example https://github.com/swaywm/sway/wiki/Running-programs-natively-under-wayland or https://arewewaylandyet.com/ for ideas. You'll definitely want at least some notification daemon (mako/dunst/fnott). Perhaps a few other dmenu replacements (I am partial to fuzzel). There's a bunch of awesome fast wayland terminals (foot is great).

  • Screensharing - you need https://github.com/emersion/xdg-desktop-portal-wlr/ for screensharing. There's docs/FAQs etc to help test/set it up. It works, but if you have some weird special apps that do not speak "pipewire" but expect to use X11 protocols to record - they won't get anything. Firefox/Chrome work these days without a problem, OBS since 27.x works with pipewire too.
